UMUC’s Career Services team hosted one of its most attended Virtual Recruiter Sessions on January 25, 2018 with 10 organizations and more than 300 UMUC alumni and students who participated. November Virtual Recruiter Session Recap

On November 15, 2017, UMUC’s Career Services and Alumni Relations team hosted its largest Virtual Recruiter Session featuring eight organizations and more than 350 UMUC alumni and student attendees. Several employers from various industries had the opportunity to connect directly with attendees through chat and video. Featured employers included Marriott, Navy Federal Credit Union, eGlobal Tech, Mar Inc., First Data, Curzon Staffing, Paradyme Management, and Fastenal. So, You Want to Work for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, UMUC Career Services welcomed several officers from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to the UMUC Academic Center in Largo, MD. These officers represented departments from across the Agency and were recruiting for a wide variety of positions. The day began with a presentation delivered by CIA representatives sharing a variety of tips about the application process and what it is like to work at the Agency. UMUC and the Department of Veterans Affairs Create a New Partnership

On Monday, July 10, 2017, UMUC’s President Javier Miyares signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to create a collaborative partnership between the VA’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion and UMUC’s Career Services Office.   The purpose of the MOU is to establish a robust collaborative working partnership in order to coordinate and implement outreach to UMUC’s diverse student population for employment and educational opportunities within the VA.Continue Reading
